If you're finally taking
the leap into making your first short, documentary or
even feature length movie, but don't know where to
start, then you've come to the right place. The WGTFS?
e-Book is designed for first-time filmmakers that
haven't gone to film school and for those that want to
learn the technical basics of filmmaking.
It's also a great tool if you want to improve the
production value of your event videography, wedding
videos, video podcasts, video blogs or viral videos.
WGTFS?

beginners with their film and video production planning

About the Authors
Brothers Kel and Don Muρa
have been involved in numerous aspects of multimedia
production ranging from music, television, radio, web
and advertising for well over a decade. They have
produced commercial advertisements for companies such as
Toyota, McDonalds and Miller Beer to name a few.
Years after creating
their videography business in the San Francisco Bay
Area, they have ventured into the medium of
do-it-yourself independent filmmaking that includes work
on a number of documentaries in addition to the debut of
their first narrative feature film which they both have
written, produced and directed -
"Shiro's Head"
(Winner of the Silver Ace Award at the Las Vegas
International Film Festival, Grand Jury Finalist at the
Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival, an official selection of the
Strasbourg France International Film Festival, the
inaugural Japan HISTORICA Film Festival, the Louis Vuitton 28th Annual
Hawaii International Film Festival and the inaugural
Philadelphia Asian American Film Festival).
Just like most
independent filmmakers, when producing their first DIY
film, the Muρa Bros. were
faced with many obstacles and even more questions about
making the move to take their ideas from
conceptualization to visualization.
They've compiled their notes from practical real-world
experiences as well as the best of their film school
textbook teachings into
Why Go To Film School?
a simple and
easy-to-read filmmaking book that has helped many
aspiring first-time filmmakers begin efficient and solid
productions.
These methods were practiced during the production of
their feature film debut,
"Shiro's Head".
